1、 Purpose:
Enable the equipment to maintain optimal performance and extend its service life, ensuring normal production.
2、 Scope of application: Applicable for the repair and maintenance of molds.
3、 Regular inspection and maintenance: Regular maintenance and inspection should be carried out by mold repair and upper and lower mold personnel.
1. Daily routine inspection and maintenance:
1.1 Is the mold in operation in normal condition
a. Is there low-voltage locking protection;
b. Are the moving parts such as guide pillars, top rods, and travel positions worn and well lubricated? It is required to refuel at least once every 12 hours, and for special structures, the frequency of refueling should be increased.
c. Whether the screws and locking clips of the fixed template of the mold are loose;
1.2 Normal production status: Check whether the defects of the product are related to the mold;
1.3 When removing the machine, a comprehensive inspection and rust prevention treatment should be carried out on the mold: dry the mold cavity, core, ejection mechanism, and line position, and spray the mold rust inhibitor or apply butter.
1.4 The mold after removal should be placed at the designated locations and recorded:
(1) Mold condition: intact or in need of repair.
(2) Rust prevention treatment method during mold removal.
2. Quarterly routine inspections:
Mainly responsible for cleaning and maintaining molds that have not been used for more than two months.
2.1 Open the mold and check the internal rust prevention effect. If there are any abnormalities, rust prevention treatment must be carried out again. Moulds that have not been used for a long time must be coated with butter
2.2 Place it back in its original position and make records
4、 Maintenance precautions:
1. Non professional maintenance personnel or without the permission of professional maintenance personnel are not allowed to dismantle the mold for maintenance on their own.
If there is a minor malfunction during the production process, the machine adjustment personnel can solve it according to the situation.
For example:
2.1 Glue inlet sticking mold: Use copper needles to knock out the mold at the feeding nozzle, and do not use hard objects such as steel needles to knock the mold.
2.2 Slight mold marks in the mold cavity can be selected based on the smoothness of the mold cavity. Polishing materials such as sandpaper cannot be used for textured surfaces. Generally, a copper brush dipped in diamond paste or diamond mortar is used for cleaning, and it is completed by professional maintenance personnel.
2.3 Product Bonding: Generally, hot plastic is used to wrap the product and the ejection area, and the ejection is done after cooling. If using fire, be careful not to damage the surface of the mold.
When professional personnel repair molds, they are not allowed to change the structure at will. Any changes to the structure must be approved by the quality engineering department before proceeding.
4. Ensure the quality of maintenance, select appropriate equipment, materials, tools, and problem-solving methods to complete it as quickly as possible.
5、 Quality records:
1. Injection molding machine and mold maintenance record form.
1、 Purpose:
1.1 To standardize the use and maintenance of plastic injection molds, reduce mold damage, and ensure that the production quality meets customer needs.
2、 Responsibilities
2.1 This standard must be trained by qualified injection molding technicians. 2.2 The injection molding team leader is responsible for implementation, inspection and supervision, and the supervisor regularly supervises
The maintenance content of three injection molds is divided into:
1.0 Maintenance of molds before production
1.1 The surface of the mold must be cleaned of oil and rust, and the cooling water holes of the mold must be checked for foreign objects and blocked waterway
1.2 It is necessary to check whether the arc in the mold adhesive sleeve is damaged, whether there are residual foreign objects, whether there are abnormalities in the moving parts, and whether the action is smooth
2.0 Maintenance of molds in production
2.1 Check all guide pillars and guide sleeves of the mold every day for damage, including mold guide pillars, line positions, and other components. Regularly refuel and maintain them, and maintain them twice a day during commuting
2.2 Clean the mold parting surface and exhaust groove of foreign objects such as glue, foreign objects, and oil, and check if the ejector pin of the mold is abnormal and regularly oil it. Clean the parting surface and flow channel surface twice a day. The guide tip, bushing, and position determine the oil supply to the tip once a day.
2.3 Regularly check if the waterways of the mold are unobstructed and tighten all fastening screws
2.4 Check if the limit switch of the mold is abnormal, and if the inclined pin and inclined top are abnormal
3. Maintenance of shutdown molds
Before stopping the machine, the cooling water circuit must be closed first, the remaining water in the mold must be blown clean, and the surface of the mold must be checked for any residual rubber threads, foreign objects, etc. After cleaning them up, anti rust agent should be evenly sprayed, and relevant records should be accurately filled out
4、 Key points for maintenance and management of plastic molds
The key points of mold maintenance management include:
1. Cleaning of mold PL surface, mold cavity, core surface, and other parts
2. Lubrication of the moving parts of the mold, loosening and tightening of bolts,
3. Rust prevention of cooling water holes, wire breakage inspection of electrical components, etc
During continuous production, regular maintenance during production should be carried out, while intermittent production products must be shut down for maintenance after a batch production to ensure they are in the best maintenance state.
Mold maintenance should be carried out on a daily and regular basis, in accordance with the "Mold Maintenance and upkeep" principle. After confirming and operating on the "Mold Maintenance Checklist", each mold production should be recorded on a record sheet. This record is the resume of the mold and is of great help in subsequent inspections. The key point in maintenance is to conscientiously implement mold maintenance management at a fixed necessary frequency and time, "not immediately repair after an accident occurs, but to prevent the occurrence of accidents.
Injection molding trial management
Trial mold refers to the experimental stamping or molding carried out after the initial installation of a mold to assess the performance of the mold and the quality of the prototype. How to control and manage different trial mold applications, develop corresponding trial mold plans, and arrange trial mold plans uniformly by injection molding.
Trial Notice: The trial notice is a reminder to all participating departments and personnel to make corresponding preparations in order to arrange trial work reasonably. It includes notifying the participating department, mold number, plastic part number, trial date, trial materials, number of trial samples, trial type, trial cost, trial status, mold data, and other information.
Mold making/mold modification management: The system provides the management of processing tasks such as mold making and mold modification. Based on the processing tasks to be scheduled, the optimized mold workshop can carry out reasonable production scheduling, and plan the costs, working hours, personnel, and equipment required for processing to ensure the smooth completion of processing tasks.
Mold test report: After the mold test is completed, the quality inspection department needs to issue a mold test report, reflecting various situations that occurred during the mold test process, including mold injection and plastic defects, and indicating detailed information such as mold test order number, mold number, plastic part name, test reason, test times, test date, plastic part batch number, test machine, etc.
Mold trial pass rate: The trial pass rate reflects the number of times the mold has been tested and the success rate of the mold trial. It is an important technical indicator for measuring mold processing technicians and design departments.
Mold acceptance management: After the mold is successfully tested, the customer needs to confirm the test results and sign for the mold acceptance certificate. The mold acceptance report signed by the customer needs to be evalsuated from the following aspects: quality of the plastic parts, performance of the mold, technical documents (samples), delivery time, etc. Mold basic file: Identify the name of the mold, number of cavities, final assembly drawing, product drawing, and relevant requirements and technical specifications (trial mold or raw sample, material and shrinkage rate, assembly requirements, volume); Mold status (normal, under repair, faulty, damaged, scrapped).
Mold trial record: The mold trial record mainly records the mold trial date, trial personnel, trial locations, trial equipment, trial materials, trial condition description, trial samples, and quality inspection report.
Mold acceptance record: The mold acceptance mainly records the situation during the mold acceptance process, including the acceptance personnel, acceptance date, acceptance locations, acceptance sample, trial mold report, mold condition, and acceptance technical quality.
Mold Entry (Storage) Record: The mold entry record records the entry (storage) status of the mold, mainly including the date of entry, supplier name, address, postal code, contact phones number, and person in charge.
Mold matching machine: The mold matching machine records the corresponding matching machine model of the modified mold, including its specifications, name, performance, ejection method, installation area, maximum molding pressure, locking force, injection amount, and so on.
